The Austin Windsurf Club's 2011 Learn to Windsurf Day was Saturday June 4th. There was a good crowd, plenty of sun and enough of a breeze to give over 20 students a taste of windsurfing.
We raised over $600 in donations that went entirely to the non-profit organization, Spastic Paraplegia Foundation (SPF), which raises awareness and funds for research to find the cures for the two rare disorders Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia (HSP) and Primary Lateral Sclerosis (PLS).
Thanks to all who participated!!!

Come celebrate spring, warmth, wind, and windsurfing!
The club will be providing the main course (Rudy's), please bring a potluck side dish.
We need a head count to determine how much food to order, so please respond with how many people you are bringing.
The neighborhood pool is directly across the drive if anybody wants to take a dip.
BYOB, but we do have a kegerator with Live Oak Liberation Ale that anyone is welcome to have. It will likely run out though since we've had it for awhile already. Membership not required. All are welcome.
